Baby's First Nite At Home
Sunday 18th April 2004 was Baby Matin's first nite at home with us...I t was alright thou' except that the first time he woke up and cry was immediate shock for us both...both of us woke immediately and coincidently, together!...not use to it i guess...but when time flies,we actually got use to it...waking up frequently at nites was a routine for us..hmmm for me i should say...

Nite in Hospital
After the "war" was over and my Baby is out, B wheeled me to my ward..It was a good experience for us after all..I will miss the 9mths of "pamperness"(is there such word hehhe) from B ofcourse..Family n Frens were all informed by my B thru' sms and calls..At abt 8pm all my family members were with me..parents,mum n sis-in-laws were all excited to c their new family member...I had a slight fever dat nite but didn't want to eat my medicine and so get scolding from the nurse la...hahahha...what a joke...at 9pm everyone had to leave and left me alone there...baby had to go back to nursery also...i was a little sad as i couldn't leave with them but wat to do...I couldn't sleep and can't wait to start my next day...at around 4+am i was tossing n turning finding the right position to sleep...and so finally it was 7AM!!!...i woke up,take a bath and waited for my baby to be sent to me...then here comes another funny episode...the nurse had pass my baby to me for feeding...as this was my first time and my baby didn't wakeup for his milk, so i didn't feed him till the nurse came by.."why didn't u feed ur baby??"she ask..so i said.."the baby didn't want it,he was asleep the whole time"..so the nurse scolded me n say.."next time even when he's asleep,just push the bottle to his mouth and he will suck it eventually"..o is it..how am i suppose to know...1st time mum wat...silly silly me...At 10am my parents n my B came n brought home-cooked food for me...yummy!!!...next feeding time at abt 10+ then i got to feed my baby...da pandai oii...hehehhe...My bro Syafiq also came n brought baby a gift...how thoughtful...then at 4+pm some of my frens,Julie n family,Gaya n Yani came...we chat n chat sharing my experience with them...my doc gave me permission to leave at abt 6pm...YEAH BABY...We r going Home!!!!!!!!!!

17th April 2004 Saturday,1608hrs
Doc made some checks in the observation ward before putting me in labour ward...the pain was Gosh!!..I was in labour ward a total of 16hrs long...it was the longest pain i had to bear all my life...My B was the person i needed most at that time and im glad he's there with me throughout the "war"..hehehhe...the injection on my leg and the gas don't work for me at all!!!..so after 8hrs of pain,i finally decide on Epidural...the epidural injection was also painful man..it was a great relieve after that and so am able to take a nap...finally...after the epidural is gone,the PAIN IS BACK!!!...hehehhe...at 7.30am my gynae finally burst my water bag..and after that my cervix open up real fast...Finally at 3pm, my doc said its time already!!!..i was scared and told my B,"hah now?..im scared"..hehehe silly me..so with the help of midwives and my B, i started pushing...my B was my strongest motivator at that time but was also irritating me and so i shouted at him...hehehhe sorry B, i didn't mean it..But i'm glad he did that as it actually made me angry and push harder...its silly but its true...:)..Finally with a really hard push, my baby Matin Fikri came out to see Mama n Papa at 1608hrs...It was really an emotional moment for both of us...the baby that use to kick and stretch in me is OUT!!!..Alhamdulillah Syukur Kepada ALLAH...

Friday I'm In Pain
The next day, Friday 16th Apr 2004,the pain was unbearable the whole day..was in bed all day long...just counting how consistent the contractions is..it wasn't 5mins apart and consistent so i told myself,"No,its not the time yet"..heheheh..My B came back at 6+pm and i was complaining how bad the contractions was...he wanted to bring me to KKH again but i told him no, i didn't want it to be another false alarm...But, at around 10+pm, i just couldn't take it anymore...it was constant pain and i tot maybe its really time...and so we make our way to KKH...he was driving at 40-50kmh but i still felt it was too fast as its painful when the vehicle is moving...hehhehe...

I Can Feel The Pain
15 Apr 2004, Thursday..I was at Whitesands Coffee Bean the whole afternoon with my Aunt...chatting and have a good cold drink...hmmm...Only went home abt 6+pm...i was alright the whole untill at abt 7+ in the evening...my B was not back from work yet during that time and mum was at my aunt's place...When i called her to say that im feeling the pain, she rushed back home...told my B the pain was unbearable and he wanted to send me to KKH...but i refuse...just couln't believe it was time hehehhe...
But i finally gave in and we went KKH at around 11+pm..After checking the doc said my cervix is still not open yet and this is a false alarm...Disappointed and still painful, we make our way home...

1st Wedding Anniversary 050403
My 1st Anniversary was a simple one as i was already at my last stage of pregnancy...Our initial plan was to have dinner in cable-car but we had to drop it coz i had to go to toilet every now n then and it will be difficult for me if i'm up there...so we went for a seafood dinner at Pasir Ris Beach...at exactly 12midnite my B took out my prezzie...But unfortunately i actually didn't get him anything (wat a lousy wife)...hehehhe...he bought a bracelet from Goldheart..a simple one so i can wear it everytime..How thoughtful of u darling hehehhe...
